Trinity College Kindergarten is rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standards, giving you the reassurance that your family will be part of service that values high quality care. Our Kindergarten employs qualified, experienced and caring staff who prepare children to have a lifelong love of learning and support their development of skills needed for formal schooling. Staff care for and educate children in a safe, secure and engaging environment from a Christian worldview, where children are seen as valuable and unique. Children are further supported to be confident and learn through meaningful play experiences.
Our Kindergarten program follows a play-based pedagogical approach that includes active movement, exploring and learning about science, maths, early literacy and the environment.
Each day has meaningful and creative learning, balanced with moments of rest and reflection. Our Kindergarten program is further complimented by the provision of specialist Music, PE and Library lessons taught by qualified staff. Twice a fortnight our Kindergarten children also participate in a Bush Kindy program. We value connections to our community and invite families and other community members to be part of our Kindergarten program on a regular basis.
In Queensland children must turn four by the end of June in the year they commence Kindy.
5-day fortnight & full time
Our Kindergarten hours are from 8:30am – 3pm.
OSH before school care is from 6am – 8:30am
After school care is from 3pm – 6pm
We have two groups who attend a five-day fortnight cycle.
Monday & Tuesday in the first week and then Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the second week.
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday in the first week and then Thursday and Friday in the second week.
We also have an option for full-time attendance, however, these spots are limited.
We have acquired another campus at Derby St and can now offer two new additional Kindy classes for 2025
Our Kindergarten offers a five-day fortnightly program for children who turn 4 before 30 June. We also offer full-time places so children can attend every day and we have before and after school care available to Kindy children through OSHC on our site. Our Kindergarten is part of the free Kindy initiative of the Government, giving your child free access to Kindy in a five-day fortnight program. The enrolment of children who attend Trinity College Kindergarten automatically rolls over into Trinity College Prep without the need for families to go through the enrolment process again.
